John N. Cotzias, born in 1965, is a graduate of City University Cass Business School (UK), graduating in 1990 with an MSc in Shipping Trade and Finance. He holds a Bsc in Economics from the University of Buckingham. Continues the 4^th generation of the oldest Shipbroking house in Greece. His family has been active in both Sale and Purchase and Chartering of ships since 1893, and John is an active shipbroker from 1990 until today. He has been a maritime and shipping advisor for various Greek and international shipping companies. In early 2011, N. Cotzias Shipping Co. ― the oldest broking house in Greece ― merged with Intermodal Shipbrokers, one of the leading and most active Athens and Shanghai based shipbroking companies. This was the first ever merger between Greek Shipbroking Houses, joining forces while combining history, tradition, know-how and remarkable performance, and moving positively ahead, expanding during a period of financial instability and uncertainty.

Since 2013, John N. Cotzias is for second term acting as president of the Hellenic Shipbrokers Association (HSA). He is a long distance runner, Marathoner and a Triathlete.
