Leo Polemis is the CEO of Remi Maritime Corp. and founder of Safe Ship Investment Fund. He is currently Chairman of Aquasition Corp. which is a NASDAQ listed SPAC entity in the US, which had a successful closing in October 2012.  He has been a senior Manager at Seacrest Shipping Co. Ltd, a London based Agency part of an International Commercial Shipping Services group. since 1992, he has been responsible for the international group’s Operations, Technical, S&P and Chartering sectors.

He holds an MBA from Imperial College London, a Masters in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from University of Michigan, USA and a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology, NJ, USA. He is also a registered ship broker at the Baltic Exchange in London. A representative board Member on  IPTA, Council member of Intertanko, ABS, KR and BV Classification committee.
