Dr. Alexandros Glykas, Naval Architect & Marine Engineer, Glasgow University & National Technical University of Athens, motivated by the dynamism of the maritime industry. From 1996 until 2000, Dr. Glykas has been involved in maritime casualty investigations as well as the ratification of new requirements at the International Maritime Organisation (IMO). He was involved in the 2nd phase of the unique M/V DERBYSHIRE Investigation (1997-2000) organized by the Department of Transport (UK). Within DYNAMARINe, Dr. Glykas has an active role in the commercial and development of products and services, ever since 2001. Dr. Glykas is also involved in academia as a lecturer since 2001. He is also a certified Instructor from ABS and a qualified ISM, ISPS auditor by DNV. Dr. Glykas has an expertise in risk assurance of Ship to Ship (STS) transfer operations, through large data. He attended a considerable number of STS operations, has actively participating in the incident investigation for STS. He has evidenced the vessel STS assessment of a few thousand operations within DYNAMARINe. Dr. Glykas has supported worldwide innovative work within the academia and the maritime industry.
