Business and Product Development Director, OTESAT-Maritel

Dr. Pavlis was born in 1972 in Athens. He has been working for OTESAT-Maritel as Business and Product Development Director for the past ten years, being responsible for the development of new products, with SatGate, a digital services delivery platform being the most notable one, as well as new business activities, with marine electronics being the most recent one. Having a multidisciplinary background, he has extensively contributed to the research on intelligent technologies, including the development of digital services and their application in intermodal surface transportation systems for passengers and goods.
Prior to his current position, he was elected Lecturer Research Professor at the Transportation Institute of the National Centre for Research and Technology. His scientific publications have over 400 cross references, while he has given numerous speeches in international conferences. He holds a Ph.D. degree from the University of California at Irvine, USA, focusing in Intelligent Transportation Systems, as well as B.Eng. and M.Sc. degrees from the Technical University of Crete, Greece, emphasizing in Operations Research. He is a father of two children; his bio is quoted in Marquis Who’s Who in America.
