The Bible of Greek Shipping
NAFTEMPORIKI celebrates 100 years since its first publication and honors Greek shipowners who have elevated Greek Shipping to a global leader.
With a deep sense of gratitude for their invaluable contribution, NAFTEMPORIKI recognizes their entrepreneurial instinct and their ability to dominate the oceans through a unique English-language album titled "The GREEKS. Masters of the seas sharing their life story." Their pioneering ideas and actions make them unique and irreplaceable in their field.
Their story begins in the era of sailing ships, continues with steamships, and extends to the state-of-the-art new-generation vessels being built in shipyards around the world. Within the pages of NAFTEMPORIKI’s new album, unknown yet captivating aspects of their lives come to life, documenting the journey and achievements of distinguished representatives of Greek Shipping through their personal narratives.
Throughout its centennial journey, NAFTEMPORIKI has proven that supporting and recognizing the people of the shipping industry is a duty of honor. It has stood by the protagonists of Shipping, showcasing their achievements and value. After a century, it seeks to respectfully and sensitively capture the personality, work, and human dimension of Greek shipowners who dominate their sector.
NAFTEMPORIKI’s special associate, Greta Christofilopoulou, in collaboration with shipowners, created 50 portraits that form an iconic album, unique in publishing history.
The collectible English-language edition, dedicated to the lives and experiences of remarkable Greek shipowners, was presented in Athens on January 22, 2025, at the Eugenides Foundation and on February 3, 2025, at Bayes Business School in London. The event was attended by prominent Greek Shipowners, Government Representatives, and Shipping Industry Executives.
