Adonis - Spyridon Georgiadis

Adonis – Spyridon Georgiades was born in Athens (1972) and graduated from the School of Philosophy of the University of Athens (Dpt. of History & Archaeology).

Since 1993 he assumes the management of “Georgiades Greek’s Library” publications and in 1994 he founded the Center of Liberal Studies “Hellenike Agogi” aiming to teaching the Ancient Greek Language. He has, also, been publishing and managing two monthly journals dedicated to promoting diachronic Greek civilization, while he has authored three books.

Mr. Georgiadis was elected MP of Precinct B’, Athens, achieving a first place in all elections held in 2004 – 2009 with the LA.OS Party. In November 11, 2011 he was appointed as Deputy Minister in charge of Mercantile Marine and Fisheries serving at the Cabinet of Premier Minister Loucas Papademos.

In February 11, 2012 he resigned from his government post, while in February 13, 2012 he was expelled from the LA.OS Parliamentary Party Group as he had voted in favor of “Memorandum II”.

In February 17, 2012 he joined Nea Demokratia Party after having resigned his parliamentary seat. During national elections of June 2012 he was elected as MP (Precinct B’, Athens) and in June 25, 2013 he was appointed Minister of Health at the Cabinet of the Prime Minister Andonis Samaras.

At the national elections (February 25, 2015) he was re-elected MP with Nea Demokratia Party (Precinct B’, Athens) receiving 73.959 votes. Mr. Georgiadis in 2016 was appointed as the Vice-President of Nea Demokratia Party.
