He was employed since 1968 by the:
• Greek Shipping Cooperation Committee,
• the National Bank of Greece,
• the American Express (shipping finance),
• the United Shipyards of Perama and Itea (economic consultant)
• the Aliverion shipyard SA (project) (chief accountant and economic director)
• the Alkyon SA marine and general insurance Co (director)
• the Thenamaris ship management Inc. (accounting; head of controller’s department, head of Personnel dept.) (till 1990)
• economist with Ellconsult and Rogan associates
Appointed since 1992:
• as associate Professor of Marine economics by the University of Piraeus dept. of maritime studies
• full Professor at the same school till 2008
• General Secretary of the Ministry of Mercantile Marine (1993-1995)
Appointed since 2015:
• as professor of shipping business management by BCA in the e-learning division
• BCA Shipping Management Director
• head of e-learning shipping division
• He is the author of 12 books in Greek and 3 books in English.
• He has extensive national and international research.
• He has introduced Chaos theory in Maritime economics and business
• He has published 63 papers in peer journals.
