Milena is a director of S&P and Projects' Manager. She is also Investor Relations Manager of Starbulk Carriers. Milena has served as a Director of Star Bulk Carriers Corp., since October 1^st, 2009 until August 2014. Between 2008 and 2010, she was employed as a chartering broker and since then serves as a consultant in the commercial department of Interchart Shipping Inc. Since 2006 until the end of 2007, Milena was employed in the finance department of Oceanbulk Maritime S.A.

In 2004 and 2005, she was trained at Merrill Lynch in the private wealth department and thereafter at the CoeClerici Group in the risk management department. In 2004, while at Merrill Lynch, she assisted in founding the “Women’s Milestones” program.

In 2005, Milena graduated with honors and received a dual Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology from Cornell University, N.Y. In 2007, she received her Master of Science (M.Sc) in Shipping, Trade and Finance degree from Cass University, London.
