Mr. Ilias Tsakiris has graduated from Hydra Merchant Marine Academy and Liverpool John Moores University; he is a Second Mate and a holder of a B.Sc. in Maritime Studies. His employment history starts on 1987 when he first joined the fleet of Ceres Hellenic Shipping Enterprises. Since October 1995 he is employed by the Hellenic Hull Management (HMA) Limited.

Within Hellenic, Mr. Tsakiris started as the Claims Manager and from 2005 up until today he is the Managing Director and Board Director of the Management Company. Amongst other things Mr.

Ilias Tsakiris has given a considerable number of lectures on Marine Insurance, and a number of his articles has been published in the Greek and foreign press.
